Blinn’s Jenkins Sets New Record For Coaching Victories

Posted: 7:56 PM Jeff Jenkins is now the winningest coach in Blinn College women’s basketball history. The 16th-ranked, undefeated Blinn Buccaneers defeated Western Texas College 75-61 Thursday night at the Blinn P.E. Building. The victory, which improved the Bucs to 8-0 on the season, gave Jenkins more victories than any other coach in program history. Now in his 11th season at Blinn, Jenkins boasts a 201-123 record with the Buccaneers. In 13 total seasons as a collegiate head coach, he holds a 254-161 overall record.

Bossier Parish Rallies Late To Upend Buccaneers, 66-63

Posted: 10:46 PM The Blinn Buccaneers are quickly learning just how important free throw shooting is in the Region XIV Conference. Bossier Parish Community College defeated Blinn 66-63 here Wednesday night in a contest the Buccaneers led by as many as 11 points in the second half. After taking the lead with 17 minutes left to play, Blinn extended its lead to double digits before Bossier Parish began to rally with about five and a half minutes remaining. With 54 seconds left, the Cavaliers took the lead for good.
