BRYAN, TX -- The Brazos Valley Bombers are proud to announce that two of the team’s players have been named to the 2010 All-Texas Collegiate League team. The Bombers honored are shortstop Isaac Nuti and first baseman Wes Patterson.
Nuti excelled as the home-town hero, covering the infield and delivering clutch hitting from either side of the plate. On the season, Nuti led the Bombers in games played, batting average, at-bats, hits, runs scored, and total bases. He was also second in RBI, doubles and stolen bases.
At first base, Patterson was a reliable resource on defense, maintaining a .990 fielding percentage. Patterson led the team in home runs, doubles and RBI, was second in total bases, and third in hits. Patterson was also the 2010 TCL All-Star game MVP and finished second in the Home Run Derby.
