Bombers Come Up Short In East Texas

Bryan -- The Brazos Valley Bombers lost to the East Texas Pump Jacks 8 - 6 Thursday night at Diller Park in Kilgore. The Pump Jacks used a six run seventh inning to pick up the win. The Bombers have now lost four straight games.

Bomber pitcher Travis Smith got his tenth start of the season. That set a new franchise record. His six innings against East Texas pushed his season total to 54 innings which is also set a team record. Smith now has 51 strikeouts on the season. That ties the Bombers record.

The Bombers return to action Friday night to open their final regular season series of the year. The Bombers will face the Vicotria Generals at 7:00 in Victoria.
