BRYAN -- With aspirations of earning their first Texas Collegiate League championship, the Brazos Valley Bombers are back for their fourth season of summer league play. As preparations are being made for the upcoming season, the Bombers have coined their slogan for the 2010 season: “Where Fun Happens.”

Brazos Valley Bank Ballpark has become a venue where fun does not just happen during the summer, but throughout the rest of the year as well. In addition to the annual lineup of offseason events that include BooFest, BeerFest, Dia Del Nino and FanFest, the ballpark will serve as host to a pair of concerts as a part of Live at the Ballpark in October as well.

The weekend will kick off on October 16, with the Stars of Pop Concert, which features the Hannah Montana, Hillary Duff and Jonas Brothers tribute bands. The concert will begin at 5 pm on October 16, with tickets costing $7 in advance and $10 at the door. Proceeds will benefit the United Way of the Brazos Valley Youth Leadership Cabinet.

Live at the Ballpark concludes the following day, on October 17, with an all-day musical festival that will feature headliner Stoney Larue, Big Otis, Kathy Parker and nine more bands. In addition to the music, there will be a rib cook-off, concessions and games to add to the fun.

Brazos Valley Bank Ballpark will also host the second annual BooFest on October 30 from 6-9 pm. Children will have an opportunity to trick-or-treat in a safe environment for FREE! There will also be Carnival Style games, a costume contest and a Haunted House to add to the fun.

The Bombers plan to continue adding events to the ballpark in the coming years as they continue to serve the Bryan-College Station community. Brazos Valley Bank Ballpark truly is, a place “Where Fun Happens.”
