BRYAN -- Isaac Nuti drove in a pair of runs with two outs in the bottom of the 9th as the Bombers opened the second half of the season in style with a 2-1 win over the Alexandria Aces.
Alexandria scored their only run in the fifth inning on a squeeze play. Judd Ewards layed down a bunt and Shane Ardoin came in from third to score the Aces only run.
In the 9th Nuti came through with a double to left center that scored Cameron Dullnig and Michael Flores.
Brian Borski (5-1) went the distance and picked up the win for the Bombers. He struck out four and only allowed four hits.
The Bombers are off tomorrow and will resume play at the East Texas Pump Jacks Friday.
