VICTORIA, Texas -- Horacia Correa started the game strong with the only hit for the Bombers in the first inning and the Victoria Generals responded with two. The second inning fell silent with neither teams having a hit or a run; however, the Bombers broke the silence with two hits and Hunter Melton brought in the first run of the game.
The Bombers were able to build up the intensity in the fifth inning with Graham McIntyre and Mason Randolph having the only two runs. The sixth inning was quiet for the Bombers with Andy Smith getting a hit and advancing to first base.
The Victoria generals seized this opportunity with two runs and three hits. The seventh inning was a breeze for the Bombers as they racked up two runs and two hits, but the Victoria Generals could not catch up to their opponents. The Bombers ended the game on top of the Victoria Generals with a 5-2 lead.
Parker Ray had an impressive performance with seven strikeouts and only three walks. Rex Hill followed with three strikeouts and no walks. Nick Johnson and Shay Maltese ended the game with one strikeout each.
