The Bombers returned home tonight for a two game home stand tonight against the Victoria Generals and tomorrow against the East Texas Pump Jacks. The Bombers did not look like a team that got in at 4:30 this morning after coming from a series with the Acadiana Cane Cutters. The Bombers were on tonight and were led by a great pitching performance on Aflac Night at American Momentum Bank Ballpark.

The Bombers scored three runs early in the game. In the second inning, second baseman Corey Toups led the inning off with a double. Shortstop Nick Smelser then came to the plate and lined a single. Toups came home to score on a groundout to the first baseman to give the Bombers a 1-0 lead. With Smelser at third, Right fielder Myles Parma hit a double that brought Smelser in to make it a 2-0 ballgame. Parma would be brought to the plate for the third run on another single hit this time by Third baseman Brennyn Smith. In the sixth inning Catcher Braden Mattson would give the Bombers a 4-0 lead after hitting his fifth homerun of the season.

College Station native, Brannon Easterling started tonight for the Bombers. His start tonight was a complete opposite of his last start against East Texas. In the game tonight, Easterling threw a complete game, giving up one run while striking out five batters. Easterling was appreciative of his defense after the game because they made great plays in the field that helped him find his groove early in the game.

The Bombers conclude the home stand tomorrow against the East Texas Pump Jacks. The game is scheduled to start at 7:05. The game is a Thirsty Thursday with $1 Beer and Soft Drinks brought to you by Western Beverages! It will also be a bobble night featuring Shel Winkley of KBTX courtesy of Jones & Lowe Agency. The Bombers then go on the road for three games. The journey begins in Kilgore on Friday night and concludes with a two game series with the Cane Cutters this coming Sunday and Monday. The Bombers then return home to close out July with a game with the Pump Jacks. That game is a $2 Tuesday with $2 Tickets, Beer Soda & Hotdogs brought to you by Fabulous Fare! The other promotion that night is College Night with 50 cent Beer and Soda!
