BRYAN, TX -- It is with great pride that the Bombers announce the addition of 9 of their players to the 2011 Cricket Wireless TCL All-Star Game roster. Coach Brent Alumbaugh will manage the South squad during next Monday’s contest at Brazos Valley Bank Ballpark.

In addition to the Bombers on the roster, the South team will feature players from the Acadiana Cane Cutters and the Victoria Generals. Players from the East Texas Pump Jacks, Coppell Copperheads, and Alexandria Aces will comprise the North's team.

Four of the eight pitchers on the South roster are Bombers, led by ace Jake Moser, and closer Garrett Shepperd. Moser leads the team with 38 2/3 innings pitched, and sports a 1.63 earned run average on the season. Shepperd is leading the TCL with 8 saves on the year, and his total is just one behind the Bombers’ single-season record in the category. Damian Rivera and Alec Mills will help round out the pitching staff.

Three of the Bombers infielders are starting the game for the South. Trey Porras will bring his TCL-leading .411 batting average to the contest, while manning first base in the field. Casey Dykes will post up at the hot corner, while John Cannon will take his outstanding defense behind the plate for the contest.

Jordan Hammerman will start the game in the outfield, where he’ll put his speed to work preventing the North lineup from dropping hits into the outfield. That quickness has helped him steal six bases in six attempts this season, and he leads the Bombers with a perfect fielding percentage. Fellow outfielder Herb Romero will look to help the team with his elite patience and strong defense. Romero leads the TCL with 26 walks on the season.

The game will start at 7:35 at Brazos Valley Bank Ballpark, and fans are encouraged to arrive earlier to enjoy all of the day's festivities. The gates open at 5:30, allowing fans plenty of time to catch the TCL Brazos Bingo Home Run Derby, which begins at 6:15.
