Bombers Struggle And Drop 8-1 Decision To Copperheads, "Alan" Bobblehead A Hit

BRYAN, TX -- Fans at Brazos Valley Bank Ballpark were treated to Alan bobbleheads, dollar beers, and a free cookie coupon in a game they lost 8-1 to the Coppell Copperheads. The excitement of the K-man, a Thirsty Thursday return as Cookie Monster, along with the fans root on for an opponent hitter to strike out. Much to everyone's delight, Sam Friend of the Copperheads struck out in the third inning, as all Bombers fans will enjoy a free cookie from Firehouse Subs for his going down on strikes.

Friend was punched out by Andrew Massey of the Bombers, who struck out six in his five innings of work. Massey was one of few bright spots for the team on this night, as the bats had no answer for pitcher Jacob Lara of the Copperheads, who threw 7 scoreless innings.

The Bombers will head to Alexandria to take on the Aces this weekend, then head to Coppell early next week before coming home to the cozy confines of Brazos Valley Bank Ballpark next Wednesday , where they will take on the East Texas PumpJacks . The next home games will feature the second of six Angry Birds bobblehead nights on Wednesday, and Go Gold Night on the Thirsty Thursday game.
