The Cane Cutters jumped out to a quick 3-0 lead after the first inning however, the Bombers defense stood strong for the remainder of the evening. The Cane Cutters came close to scoring, with runners left on, but no other runs would cross homeplate. Bombers starter, Navasota native, and tonights H&R Block player of the game, Tyler Eppler, over came a slow start, and finished pitching a solid 7 innings for the Bombers. Nathan Sorenson, of Texas A&M, came into the game and pitched the final two innings capping off a great home opener at American Momentum Ballpark keeping the Bombers winning streak alive. The defense for the Bombers showcased their skills and teamwork tonight including a great play involving three Bombers. Right fielder Myles Parma, second baseman, Shea Pierce, and shortstop Nick Smelzer teamed up to tag a Cane Cutter runner out at second base. The Bombers' defense continued to come up with big plays, preventing an Acadiana comeback.

The Bombers offense came to life in the 2nd inning. The first hit of the night was a single to right field by catcher Braden Mattson. Two batters later, first baseman, Brad Porras came through with a stand up double that platted Mattson for the Bombers first run. Following the score, rightfielder, Myles Parma of the University of Arkansas-Little Rock smacked a single allowing Porras to add to the Bombers score. Returning Bomber, Brennyn Smith, hit a lead of double in the 4th Inning, and was brought home to score the third run for the Bombers by Bobby Butvin. The last run for the Bombers would come in the 5th inning. After a leadof walk to Myles Parma, Parma was moved to second on a perfectly placed sacrafice bunt by Shea Pierce. Center fielder, Chris Florack then stroked a double that brought Parma to the plate, making the score 4-3 Bombers.

The remaining innings were hard fought battles from both teams. In the top of the ninth, Aggie Nathan Sorenson, forced a pop fly that secured the Brazos Valley Bombers victory over the Acadiana Cane Cutters, 4-3.
