BRYAN, TX -- The Brazos Valley Bombers beat the Acadiana Cane Cutters 9-1 Friday night at Brazos Valley Bank Ballpark. It was the third straight win for the Bombers.

Texas A&M head women's basketball coach Gary Blair was in the Bomber lineup serving as the designated hitter in the first inning. Blair took the first pitch and eventually faced a full count before striking out swinging. The Bombers were celebrating the Aggie women winning the National Championship last season.

The Bombers and Cane Cutters will meet again Saturday night at 7:00pm. The game will be Salute the Troops Night, where the first 100 fans into Brazos Valley Bank Ballpark will receive a miniature U.S. flag.
