COLLEGE STATION, TX -- The Brazos Valley Bombers will celebrate the Texas A&M women’s basketball team’s 2011 NCAA National Championship with Coach Blair Bobble Head Night on Friday at 7 p.m. at Bombers Ballpark.

Gary Blair, head coach of the Aggie women’s basketball team, will also suit up for the Brazos Valley Bombers on Friday night and take an official at-bat as the designated hitter for the Bombers as they face the expansion team from Lafayette, La. – the Acadiana Cane Cutters.

Coach Blair bobble heads will be given to the first 200 fans.

In his eighth season as head coach, Blair guided Aggie women’s hoops to its first national championship in the program’s first ever trip to the NCAA women’s Final Four. His athletic roots, however, started in baseball. Blair was an all-city baseball player at Dallas' Bryan Adams High School and also played a season of baseball at Texas Tech where he earned his bachelor's degree in 1972 and his master's degree in 1974.

On Friday fans can also support four current Texas A&M baseball players that are on the Bombers’ roster including Jacob House, Adam Smith, Scott Arthur and Ross Hales.
