News 3 Sports would like to congratulate our latest Classroom Champion Scott McDuffie. The Navasota senior is the Senior Class President, a member of the National Honor Society, the Library club, and the Spanish club. He also is ranked 5th in his class, Participates in community service projects with his church. And Even though Scott has a full schedule, he manages to always give it his all.
“What I notice about him, is that it doesn't matter if its football, or his work, or his church or this class, he gives 110% all the time.”
“You can tell he's got great parents that take care of him, and have put him in the right direction, you know, exactly the type of guy you want in your football team. He's gonna do great in the classroom, gonna do great on the football field, great in the community, no matter what you know each day in practice your gonna get 100% effort, and he's a great Navasota rattler. ”
Athletically, Scott is a 3 year letter winner of the rattler football team, where he has received 1st team all district honors. he also plays golf, tennis, and runs track. He participates in power lifting, where he was a regional finalist a year ago. And his teachers and coaches know that he has the right attitude towards life, and this helps him keep him successful in everything he does.
“Practice makes perfect, if you don't work hard in the classroom you're not going to get a good grade on the test, you'll get poor grades, and I try and do that as much as possible, I try to work hard, and everything and sports has allowed me to do that physically and mentally. ”
Scott plans on attending Texas a&m and pursuing a degree in the medical field.
