News 3 Sports would like to congratulate our latest classroom champion Taylor Jones. The North Zulch senior has a 3.81 Grade point average and ranks 3rd in her class. She's the president of BETA Club, a member of the National Honor Society, Student Council, FCA, FFA, and a member of the Junior Bank Board for the Madisonville State Bank. Taylor is also on the honor roll and has received top student honors for Spanish 3.

"Taylor Jones is actually one of our good seniors this year, We have six kids in the dual credit program this year, and Taylor is one of them. She's leading the way academically for on our campus, way up there at the top of the class, she came to us beginning as a sophomore when her parents came to work for us, and she has done a fantastic job being a leader in her class, also a leader on the athletic field, and that's probably the reason she got this honor, is because she is a leader in academics and in athletics."

Athletically, Taylor is a member of the Lady Bulldog Volleyball, Basketball, Softball, Track and Cross Country teams. Last year she received defensive player of the year in volleyball, and was the most valuable player in both volleyball and basketball. Taylor has a unique motivation both on and off the court, her parents are both coaches at her school.

"We had an agreement before the season started that volleyball stays at school, we've broken that a couple of times, but we try to stick to that rule, because if we talked about it all the time, it would just be constant. But, she's a great kid, her dad, her older brother and I couldn't be prouder of her. I mean, she's an excellent student in the classroom, she works hard, responsible, good loyal friend, she's Christian, just a great kid all around."

Taylor has a lot of inner drive, but also a lot of support from her class mates.

"ll of my friends are a part of sports and academics as well and we are all in extra curriculars together, so we're at school together, we're at practice together, after school together, so there's a lot of motivation there."

Taylor is undecided on her post high school plans.
