News 3 Sports would like to congratulate our latest classroom champion Micah Marshall. The Bryan High senior has a 4.39 Grade point average and is in the top 5% of her class. She's a 2 year member of the National Honor Society and PALS, and competed in the Academic Decathlon this year. She's also a member of the Senior Class Council. Micah's focus on her school work and willingness to help her classmates has impressed her teachers.

"She's wanting to lay a firm foundation so that she's prepared to take the next step," said Jill Morris, "and I think as a person it just shows me that she's very capable and willing to work hard, she's probably one of the hardest working students I've ever taught."

Athletically, Micah is a 4 year member of the Lady Viking Basketball team. Last year she received Academic Team player and All Brazos Valley Academic honors.

“Micah is a coaches dream," said Beth Jesurun, "she is an extremely strong academic, she's in the top of her class,so, she picks up stuff extremely quickly, she's a great leader for our team, and she's a fantastic athlete, so she's definitely a coaches dream."

"I''ve been in athletics since I was younger," said Marshall. "I tried a lot of sports and it really helped me to gain leadership abilities as far as talking, as far as just being athletic, and it really helped me to work on my determination and to be focused in the classroom as well."

Micah plans on attending The University of Texas to obtain a Business Administration degree in Accounting.
