News 3 Sports would like to congratulate our latest classroom champion Sarah Allison. The A&M Consolidated senior has a 3.54 grade point average and will graduate cum laude.

Sarah is a volunteer coach for College Station Parks and Recreation and and Consol's Summer Speed Camp. She's a member of the Consol Hall of Fame, National Honor Society and First Baptist College Station.

"Sarah, being a softball player in high school has learned a lot of leadership qualities that she's going to need to have when she's in college. She's gonna be able to go into college with a great attitude and she's going to have learned a lot of time management, since she's been in high school. Being in a lot of classes and also playing softball, she's going to have a great advantage over the others in college."

Athletically, Sarah has been a starter on the Lady Tiger Varsity softball team since her freshman year. She has been named First Team All District for the past three years and was voted MVP her junior year and offensive MVP her sophomore year. Sarah Academic All District for four years and played on the All Brazos Valley softball team.

"She brings an enthusiasm and leadership role that our team really needs. She's brought our team together this year - we've had some losses last year and you wonder how every team will respond. She's done a great job of bringing the team together. She brought the team together and has been a great leader for us. She has a love for the game and a lot of fun and it's just fun to be around her."

"Being in softball and sports and stuff - I've early gotten tot push myself further and tried to go on to the next level, so it's just taught me to be determined, which I carry over into school. I try to do my best in school and try to push myself there, just like I do on the softball field."

Sarah will continue her softball career at the collegiate level on an athletic scholarship to Sam Houston State University. Eat 'em up Kats!
