News 3 Sports would like to congratulate our latest Classroom Champion Tyler Vrazel. The Yoe High School senior has a 4.0 Grade Point Average and he's ranked eighth in his class.
Tyler is a member of 2012 State Champion, Yoe football team. He's also a member of the baseball and golf teams. In football he was named to the All-State and All-District Teams, and in gold he was a regional qualifier. He's also won several livestock wards for showing his steers. Academically, Tyler was named First Team All-Academic, and he also won the Presidential Academic Achievement Award. Tyler's also a member of several organizations such as: the National Honor Society, German & Czech club, the Vice President of FFA, Senior Class treasurer, FCA, the Student Council, KJZT, and the Football Leadership Council. He's very active in his community and his church.
"I think Tyler works as hard as he does just because it's in him to work that hard. He will never settle for less. He's such a hard worker. He tries to do his best in everything he can. If its not good enough; he's going to come back the next day and try even harder. And if he doesn't understand something, or has a question....he's just that kind of kid that comes back and asks for help... And he's going to try until he gets it perfect."
"Tyler's really got a real strong family! In fact, I'm from Cameron, and I know his dad's from Cameron and I knew them growing up. There just salt of the Earth type people, work hard, and all of their kids are the same way...That's all they've ever known. I'm sure he gets up before sun up and he works with his steers...That's just expected of them in their family."
"I Know I have to work hard in the classroom, because you can’t get nowhere without having a good education, and you cant have a good job without an a good education. So to get that you have to work hard in school and maintain your grades. And to be able to play sports you have to have good grades...So when you want to play sports you just have to keep your grades up."
Tyler plans on attending Sam Houston State University and majoring in Wildlife Management.
Congratulations to Tyler Vrazel of Cameron Yoe High School. This week's News 3 Sports Classroom Champion!
