News 3 Sports would like to congratulate our latest Classroom Champion Will Imhoff. The Navasota High School senior has a 4.0 Grade Point Average and is currently ranked sixth in his class class.
Will was a member of 2012 State Champion Rattler football team.

He's also a member of the baseball and track teams. In football was the teams defensive MVP and he was named 2nd Team All State, and Academic All District. In baseball, Will was named 2nd Team All District and Academic All District. And in track, he was a 2 year regional qualifier. Will is a member of the National Honor Society, and loves showing off his pigs.

"Will can look past tomorrow. And that's one thing that's really hard to push on students is you have to see pat tomorrow, you have to see past Friday. Especially for football players; we always worry that they're not gonna see past next Friday night. Will sees the big picture. In the long run Will knows hoe important his education is everyday, how it adds up, how its gonna help him in the future...Eventually in college and who knows, post graduate school....I've told Will a couple of times that he should be a lawyer. And I think that if anybody has the capacity to go far it's Will Imhoff."

"This being my first year here I'm kind of excited to know that I have this type of guy on the team going into the year. And just seeing the first three days of practice The way he's interacting with the other guys and the way they respect him and kind of follow his lead. I think that's going to be the basis of our success this year and I hope it keeps going, keeps rolling. I think he has a good head on him; a good plan in store for his future. He knows what he want to do and where he wants to be in 5 years, 10 years, and kind of has those goals in mind."

"I know with keeping up with my grades, especially with the great teachers we have her at Navasota. And playing extracurricular is something that can work here, because we have such a good program on both ends that work together and help us students out. Especially like me, that has to go through practices after practice and still get all the work done. Were able to get that accomplished, where every athlete can do both and and be able to be successful at both."

Will plans on attending Texas A&M University and majoring in agricultural engineering and applied sciences.

Congratulations to Will Imhoff of Navasota High School. This week's News 3 Sports Classroom Champion!
