Tori was a member of the Lady Hornet Volleyball Team. In 2011, she was selected Academic All-District in volleyball. Tori is very active at her school. She's a member of the National Honor Society, FCA, FCCLA, the Spanish Club, Brazos Valley Juniors, Student Council, and she's the president of the Deanville 4H. Tori is also very active at the Caldwell Church of Christ.
“Tori's a meticulous student. She really makes sure she has everything down pat; and in order when she does a problem. She's very studious and very nice to have in class. I think she's driven internally. If you see her on the volleyball court or in the classroom, you'll notice that she seeks almost perfection. And that's what she's about, that's her character.”, James Hill, Math Teacher
“Tori was one of our senior leaders this year. She really stepped into a major role for us. She was our Libero. When we needed to receive, when we needed vocal leadership, emotional leadership. She was the girl to step forward and give that to us. She has the internal motivation to be the best in whatever she's doing. Whether it's classwork, athletics, or maybe just being a friend. She wants to be the best at everything she does.”, Jane Anne Giese, Coach
“I'm definitely a leader by example. I'm not a very loud talkative person or like to scream at people. So being a leader was vocally challenging for me. I like to be crazy and keep the girls excited and motivated. So leading by example was my main thing.”, Tori Smith, High School Senior
Tori plans on attending Texas A&M University and majoring in kinesiology.
Congratulations to Tori Smith of Caldwell High School. This week’s News 3 Sports Classroom Champion!
