Samantha is a member of the volleyball, cross country, basketball, track, and softball teams. She was selected to the All-District Team in volleyball, softball, and basketball. Samantha was also a Regional Qualifier in track and cross country. She was also named the Girl Athlete of the Year at North Zulch High School Swim Club. Samantha is also a member of the National Honor Society, the BETA Club, and FFA.
“Samantha comes from a hard working family. She lets her work show how she does things best. She always turns in the best product she possibly can. And her peers look to her for guidance to help them on assignments. And she's extremely good about helping kids that need help, when she's done with her work. And she always like to be challenged.”, said Laney Sikorski, Teacher
“Samantha is the strong silent type. It's not often that you hear her say things, but when she does the girls respond and give her everything that she asks. She works very very hard. So, when you have a leader working as hard as she does. It makes it hard for the team no to go with her. When she slacks, the team slacks. When she works hard, the team works hard. So whenever she's doing the things she needs to do; the kids respond a lot better to it.”, said Catherine Franke, Head Volleyball Coach
“I think of myself as a person who leads by example. I always try to keep a positive atitude, do whats right, and give everything my all. Hoping that others around me will make an effort to do the same. Being a student athlete is pretty tough Especially when you have test the night after games. It takes a lot of hard work and time to make sure I get all my homework complete and have time to study.”, said Samantha Tobias, High School Senior, North Zulch School
Samantha plans on attending Sam Houston State University and majoring in business, to one day become a Financial Adviser.
Congratulations to Samantha Tobias of North Zulch High School. This week’s News 3 Sports Classroom Champion!
