It’s time now to crown another Classroom Champion and this week we congratulate Brock Marburger of Round Top-Carmine High School.
News 3 Sports would like to congratulate our latest Classroom Champion Brock Marburger. The Round Top-Carmine High School is currently valedictorian of his class.
Brock was a member of the basketball, track, golf, and tennis teams. He was a First Team All District and First Team All Academic selection in basketball. Brock was also an Area and Regional Qualifier in track, tennis, and golf. Academically, Brock is the Treasurer for his Senior class and Treasurer of the Beta Club, and he's also a member of FFA. At his church, Brock is an usher, and a member of the Lutheran Youth Organization, and helps out wherever the church needs him.
“Brock's a great kid. I think he's just real dedicated I his studies. He's real focused, he knows what he wants out of himself and what he wants out of life. So he uses those to persuade himself to work as hard as he can everyday. We have a saying here, “you've got to make the most of every single day to be successful.” I think Brock really takes that to heart."
“Brock's a great guy. He's competing in just about everything we have to offer here at Round Top-Carmine. Ultimately, he's just a great student and a great student athlete. Brock is a lead by example guy. He's not necessarily a rah rah guy. But, he's the guy that's gonna do the right thing when it's asked of him. And even when it's not asked of him, he's gonna be the the guy that's doing the right thing at the right time. I just think Brock whats to be exceptional I everything he does. He just has high values ad high standards. He just lives to meet those.."
“It's a little more difficult than just one thing. Like being a scholar or an athlete but, it makes me work harder. And it kind of all goes together. Once you figure out how to work hard in the classroom, you take that to the athletic part, and work hard there too. It's a little more difficult but eventually you figure it out."
Brock plans on attending Texas A&M University and majoring in Kinesiology.
Congratulations to Brock Marburger of Round Top-Carmine High School. This week’s News 3 Sports Classroom Champion!
