Classroom Champions 1/12 - Kandace Hardee

It’s time now to crown another Classroom Champion and this week we congratulate Kandace Hardee of Centerville High School.

News 3 Sports would like to congratulate our latest classroom champion Kandace Hardee. The Centerville High School senior has an “A” Average and is currently ranked tenth in her class.

Kandace is a member of the Lady Tiger basketball team, and she’s also the school mascot Tula (TWO-LA). Kandace is an All Star mascot, and she’s also won the Bonnie Easterling Award. She is a member of the National Honor Society, FCS, UIL Persuasive Speaking, the Debate Team, and One Act Play. Kandace is also very active in her church and her school.

“Kandace is a member of the National Honors Society. And she exemplifies the qualities of leadership, service, and character and that shines in her classroom. As she strives to do her 110% best in everything that she does. When it comes to class organization, it comes to class fundraiser, it comes to just leading a group in the classroom, Kandace is at the front there always doing and being her best.”

“Kandace is a good role player for us, she knows her role on the team. She is a great leader in the locker room for us, she is a senior. She has put in four good years and has worked real hard for us. She does a good job of encouraging her teammates throughout the season and being a good leader in the locker room. With keeping kids on the right page of how they need to be, that’s the kind of kid you look for to step up in doing things for you when you need it done.”

“My name is Kandace Hardee, I am a senior here at Centerville High School. I have been playing basketball for four years, and I have been the mascot her for four years.”

“Being a scholar athlete it’s fun, it’s definitely not easy because our senior year is pretty difficult here. We have a lot of hard classes, but it’s something you have to work at but it’s definitely worth it in the end. And our athletics being an athlete it’s a lot of fun here, but it’s also hard. Our coaches push us to an extreme. In the end it’s worth it because we are really good in our athletic program.”
Kandance wants to attend Stephen F. Austin University in order to become a pediatric nurse.

Congratulations to Kandace Hardee of Centerville High School. This week’s News 3 Sports Classroom Champion!
