It’s time now to crown another Classroom Champion and this week we congratulate Ryder Robinson of Round Top-Carmine High School.
News 3 Sports would like to congratulate our latest classroom champion Ryder Robinson. The Round Top-Carmine High School senior will be an honor graduate, and ranks second in his class.
Ryder is a member of the basketball, baseball, tennis, golf and track teams. He has been selected to the All District team in basketball and baseball. Ryder's also a member of the National Beta Club, FFA, and the president of the Student Council. Ryder has won several awards for his performances in UIL One Act Plays; including the Zone Best Actor Award. He's also very active in his community and his church.
"I've known Ryder since he was in seventh grade and I had him in Language Arts. Now I have him in English IV, which is Senior English. He's always been a real dynamic student...Always coming up with innovative ideas with projects and activities we have in class. Very, polite, very respectful, and one of those kind of kids you wish you could clone, to have more of them in class."
"Ryder's a fighter! He's nice to have on the team, he's always giving 100%. He's the type of guy he's not the biggest guy, he's not the fastest guy out there, but he'll go against anybody. Whenever we need somebody to guard somebody tough, we put him on them... and he's always fighting for the team."
"Being a scholar athlete, I think it's been pretty easy for me. Pretty much simply because I love the games that I play, especially basketball. I've always had a love for basketball and it's been pretty easy for me to work hard and get better at the game. It's pretty easy to be pretty successful at a thing you love to do. I love to come here and practice, I love to work hard, and I love to play the game."
Ryder wants to attend Texas A&M University and possibly continuing his passion for acting.
Congratulations to Ryder Robinson of Round Top-Carmine High School. This week's News 3 Sports Classroom Champion!
