Lindsey is a member of the volleyball team, softball team, and is currently the starting shooting guard for the Lady Bison. She was a national qualifier in the National Archery Competition. She's also a member of the National Honor Society, the Student Council, FFA, FCA and UIL Academics. Lindsey won the UIL Scholar Award as a high school freshman. She is also very active in her community and church.
"I've had Lindsey for two years in classes. I had her last year in geometry, and I had her again this year. She is a really good student, she's always willing to help her fellow students, and she's a fabulous athlete...It's really fun to watch her on the basketball court."
"I have never had a late paper from Lindsey, regardless of what tournament she's in, what her overnight situation is."
"She's a top notch student."
"Lindsey is one of our senior leaders...She displays excellent leadership qualities both on and off the court. She's a mentor to girls as young as sixth grade, we have a Character Leadership Program...And she stepped in well to her role. As far as basketball she's one of our top leading scorers, she's a defensive threat, she is quick and she has a high court IQ."
"I have been playing sports since I could walk...It's always been a passion of mine. I've always loved being like a leader and challenging myself...And keeping myself involved in my community. It's always been a real big thing about what I like to do."
It's time now to crown another Classroom Champion and this week we congratulate Lindsey McGill of Buffalo High School
