Classroom Champions 1/26 - Brad Brown

It’s time now to crown another Classroom Champion and this week we congratulate Brad Brown of Brazos Christian School.

News 3 Sports would like to congratulate our latest classroom champion Brad Brown. The Brazos Christian School senior has a 4.1 Grade Point Average, and he's been selected to the Academic All State Team.

Brad is a member of the football, soccer and the track and field teams. In football Brad was a Two time, 1st Team All State Linebacker. He was also 1st Team All-State as kicker, and 2nd Team All State as a running back. In Soccer, he made 1st and 2nd Team All-State. Brad's also a member of his schools Honor Counsel and the Upwards Sports League.

“Brad is a good leader by example. He doesn't fail to complete homework assignments. If he doesn't have it done, he's gonna come in and get help outside of class. He's gonna do all the things he needs to do to make sure he understands. In doing that he's leading for his peers, and making sure that they see modeled behavior of how to approach a classroom.”

“Brad's a fine young man. It's been a real joy to coach him. He's an excellent athlete, an exceptional student, and he makes everyone around him better. One of the joys of coaching him is that he sees the game really well. So he's like a chess master, as it were in the game of soccer. He sees a couple of plays ahead. He's usually a play or two ahead of everybody on the field. It's a joy to watch him play. And to play at such a high caliber.”

“My names Brad Brown. I go to Brazos Christian School, I'm a senior. I love playing sports like football, soccer, and I run track in the spring.” “I'm a Christian, so we've been called as Christians to do our best in everything that we do. I really don't want to do anything half hearted. I'd rather just do it the best way I can. So I can feel accomplished about what I'm doing, and don't feel like I am wasting my time. So I like to succeed and I like to push myself t be the best even if I don't succeed. I want to try my hardest.”

Brad plans on attending the the United States Air Force Academy to become a pilot, or attending Texas A&M University to become an engineer.

Congratulations to Brad Brown of Brazos Christian School! This week’s News 3 Sports Classroom Champion!
