It’s time now to crown another Classroom Champion and this week we congratulate Bayleigh Biddle of Normangee High School.
News 3 Sports would like to congratulate our latest classroom champion Bayleigh Biddle. The Normangee High School senior has a 3.8 grade point average, and is currently the salutatorian in her class.
Bayleigh is a member of the basketball, volleyball, tennis and softball teams. Bayleigh mad the TGCA Academic All State Team, the TWSA All State Team, and the All Brazos Valley 3rd Team as an outside hitter. Bayleigh's also a member of the National Honor Society, FFA, 4-H, FCCLA, and the student council. He's very active in scool and in her church community.
“Well Bayleigh's been a student of mine for about two years. I had her in physics and now anatomy. She's a pretty good student, does her work well...Really excited abouyt science and all the things in school. She signed up to take anatomy as a senior. Which is one of the tougher classes. But that was one of the choices she made. So it kind of says a lot about the kind of student she is."
“If you're looking for a kid to follow, you want to follow Bayleigh. You want to have your little ones looking at her every time, because she is what exemplifies what you need in an athlete. She's gonna work hard, keep the kids motivated, encourage the others, and always do her best." She's very well received. She's got a very friendly personality and they all seem to work well with her. She's willing to work with any partner that I give her, and encourage whoever she is partnered up with.”
“Well being a scholar athlete it is very difficult at times. But it also has it's rewards. You have to be very well organized to come home from practice, make sure you get all your homework done. And on game nights we come in at twelve o'clock sometimes, and you have to make sure you have all your homework done...study for tests the next day. Yes it has its downs, but it mostly has its ups. Because you can get rewarded in the classroom and on the field."
Bayleigh plans on attending Texas A&M University and majoring in nursing.
Congratulations to Bayleigh Biddle of Normangee High School. This week’s News 3 Sports Classroom Champion!
