News 3 Sports would like to congratulate our latest classroom champion Jacob White. The Bremond High School senior has a 4.81 Grade point average and is the valedictorian of his class.
Jacob is the president of the Student Council, FCA and FFA. He's also the vice president of the National Honor Society. He's active in his church youth group and coaches Bremond Pee-Wee Football.
"Jacob is a great student! He's always participating…He is involved in a lot of activities in school, and yet he still….his grades are a priority. He is currently the valedictorian of the senior class. He manages to always be on top of his stuff…Have his work done, and in the midst of all every sport and club that we pretty much have here in school."
"Jakes a great guy! He's active in his church…He's active in his community with youth sports. Of course everybody wants to play quarterback…All the younger kids look up to him. He does a great job with the young kids in Bremond."
"In Texas you know we have rule where there's no pass, no play. So I believe that you have to put every ounce of energy in your classwork that you put in your practice otherwise you're not going to be able to play. I believe that academics should come first, before sports do. And then, once you get into life, your going to have to do that to get by every single day, I believe. You have to have your all in everything…you have to enjoy what you do, just as much as you do enjoy playing sports in high school. You have to enjoy what you do in life just to be able to get by, and be able to live a good life and the type of life you want to live."
Jacob plans on pursuing coaching as his profession. He wants to attend a small college to play football, and major in Mathematics and minor in Education.
Congratulations to Jacob White of Bremond High School. This week's News 3 Sports Classroom Champion.
