News 3 Sports would like to congratulate our latest classroom champion Johnathon White. The Bremond High School senior has a 4.86 Grade point average and ranks second in his class.
Johnathon is the president of the National Honor Society, FCA and FFA. He's also the Senior class vice president. He's active in Spanish Club, First Baptist Church and coaches Bremond youth sports.
"From the beginning of class until the end, Johnathon is a worker. He comes in, he smiles...the most polite kid we have in this school. He works hard, he rarely complains, he comes up with amazing critical thinking, problem solving answers. All of his teachers appreciate that because it rubs off on the other kids in the class."
Athletically, Johnathon plays football, basketball, baseball and runs track. He's was named the class A State champion in the 800 meter and numerous All District and All Brazos Valley honors, including first team All District and All Brazos Valley third baseman honors.
"He is a great leader and his work ethic, his dedication to whatever he's doing...it's in every aspect of his life. Just whatever he does, he does it full speed ahead and he's a great leader for the kids. He's a great role model for the kids in Bremond."
"Athletics has showed me the responsibility of having to work hard and then it shows the rewards after you have worked hard and you put the work into what you want to be and it shows that in life, you have to work hard to get somewhere. You have to have the determination and mindset and mental toughness to get through the hard times and see yourself into the good times. Hopefully, I can show my friends leadership through hard work and through strong faith that many of your accomplishments and your goals that you can achieve will come with that aspect of life."
Johnathon plans on attending Midwestern State and majoring in either Animal Science or Kinesiology.
Congratulations to Johnathon White of Bremond High School. This week's News 3 Sports Classroom Champion.
