It is Military Appreciation night at Kyle Field and one group wanted as many veterans and active duty men and women to enjoy the game.

Gameday for Heroes is an organization that accepts donated tickets to share with military folks.

The brisket is on and the flags are flying as fans tailgate another Aggie game at Kyle Field.

The Student Veterans Association is welcoming vets from all over campus.

Joey Beasley, a junior at Texas A&M said, "You've got a bunch of guys like myself. I was a career soldier and injuries caused me to have to end that career quickly and coming here to A&M, to have other veterans that already knew the ropes to point you in the right directions to get the things done that you needed done means everything."

The retired Army Criminal Investigator said there was only one choice in his mind when getting out of the service.

Beasley stated, "The people. The Atmosphere. I've met so many Aggies in my life and I love just the people that come from A&M, the people of College Station and Bryan have always been awesome I love the military roots that A&M has."

On Military Appreciation weekend, many organizations are doing what they can for those who serve our country.

Gameday For Heroes puts tickets in the hands of active duty military men and women.

"They kind of sacrificed for us so it's way for different people to give back and kind of allow them to just have a day where they can just enjoy a sporting event," said JP.

It's a small gesture, but one that JP hopes will make a difference.

For means much more.

"Really honored for them to take the time out to let us know that they care about what we've done and the service that we've given the country," said Beasley.
