HUNTSVILLE - Changes are coming to Sam Houston State University's Bowers Stadium.
The university announced this month that changes would include upgrades for compliance with the Americans with Disabilites Act and to improve safety & convenience. According to a university release, the top two rows of seats in West side sections B, C, D, E, F and G will be removed. New chair back seating will also be added for four new sections (A, B, G, and H).
In the release, the university's intentions were outlined:
"Our season ticket holders are very important to us here at Sam Houston," Bearkat director of athletics Bobby Williams said. "The improvements to accommodate ticket holders that fall within the ADA guideline, the new hand rails in the aisles for chair back customers plus the opportunity to expand our base of chair back season ticket customers will make the football experience at Bowers even better."
