HOOVER, Alabama Texas A&M Head football coach Kevin Sumlin, offensive lineman Cedric Ogbuehi, defensive back Deshazor Everett and punter Drew Kaser took part in SEC Media Days Tuesday at the The Wynfrey Hotel in Hoover, Alabama. The Aggies were joined by South Carolina, Mississippi State and Tennessee on day two of the four day event.
Ogbuehi will be playing left tackle this season after playing right tackle last year. He feels like the transition has gone well. "I have gotten comfortable at the spot. Some of the guys are helping me out a little bit, Jake (Matthews) has come back and helped me out, so far it has been a great transition."
Defensively Texas A&M has seven starters returning. They will look to improve after finishing 14th in the SEC last season in total defense giving up 475 yards per game. Defensive back Deshazor feels like that can happen. "We can improve and we have improved. We are continuing to make progress and that is all we can do as a defense is to continue to make progress."
Texas A&M will open the 2014 season August 28 on the road against South Carolina. It will be the first football game to be televised on the SEC Network.
