ISTANBUL, Turkey- Former Texas A&M All-American Kelsey Bone scored six points to help Galatasaray Odeabank win the Turkish Championship Cup, defeating Fenerbahce 73-54 to win the series three games to two. Earlier this season, Galatasaray won the EuroLeague Women title, giving the squad two major championships in one season.
Bone, who was MVP of the 2013 SEC Tournament for the Aggies, went three-for-six from the field in the series-clinching win to help Galatasaray win the double.
Bone is one of three former A&M student-athletes to win a title overseas this season, along with Sydney Carter (Lativa, TTT Riga) and Danielle Adams (Israel, Maccabi Ashdod).
Bone joins her Connecticut Sun teammates to start the WNBA season on May 16 against New York.
