Irvine, Calif. --- Three current or former Texas A&M swimmers earned medals on the second day the 2014 Phillips 66 National Championships on Thursday.
Earning medals with top eight finishes were 2014 senior Breeja Larson, senior Sarah Henry and incoming freshman Lisa Bratton.
Larson, a three-time NCAA Champion from Mesa, Ariz., led the way with a runner-up finish in the 200-meter breaststroke. The fast-starting Larson held the lead at the 150-meter mark, but couldn't hold off top seed and fellow 2012 Olympian Micah Lawrence in the final 50. Larson took second in a time of 2:24.16.
Bratton, from Richland Wash., grabbed a bronze medal in the women's 200-meter backstroke in a time of 2:11.57.
Henry, from Garner, N.C. placed eighth in the 200 free in a time of 1:59.05.
