College Station Little League's 9 and 10 Year Old All-Stars Head to Sectionals

The 9 and 10 year-old College Station All-stars won the District 33 tournament held in Franklin, Texas last week and are now headed to sectionals.

Blake Binderup led the team in batting average with an astounding .688. He was closely followed by Greg Spaw with a .643 average, Danny Virgl with .636, and both Tyndall McNamara and Christian Dalsing rounding out the top hitters with a .600 for a tournament batting average.

Tyler Christensen contributed two wins as a starting pitcher. Chase Sodolak came up with the game winning hit in the winner’s bracket final against Harvey to propel the College Station team to the championship with a 12-10 victory.

The College Station team was then able to defeat Harvey in the championship 9-2. They will now head to Elgin on July 11th to face RC West National at 8 p.m. Also in the sectionals tournament will be Western Hills, Elgin, and Washington City.

The players on the 9 and 10 College Station team are Greg Spaw, Blake Binderup, Brodie Daniel, Danny Virgl, Chase Sodolak, Christian Dalsing, Tyler Christensen, Donovan Rodriguez, Tyndall Mcnamara, Jett Huff, Jaxon Edwards, Hayden Rubino, and Major Coronado.
