NCAA To Announce 11 Game Suspension For Rhett Bomar
Quarterback Will Have Two Years Of Eligibility Starting In 2007

HUNTSVILLE -- The NCAA is expected to announce today that Rhett Bomar will have to serve an 11 game suspension for accepting money for work he didn't complete while the quarterback of the Oklahoma Sooners.

Bomar has been on the sidelines at Sam Houston State University in Huntsville the entire season after transferring from OU back in August.

Rhett will be eligible to play for Todd Whitten and the Bearkats for two years beginning in 2007.

Bomar offered not public comment on today's news from the NCAA.

The Bearkats are currently tied for the lead in the Southland Conference race heading into Saturday night's Battle of the 'Piney Woods' against Stephen F. Austin over in Nachodoches.
