SHSU Wins Basketball Exhibition

Aaron Wade led the way as the Sam Houston State men's basketball team tipped off its season with a 99-to-60 exhibition win over Dallas Baptist.
Wade had the hot hand from the outside early then slashed inside for a power jam in the first half.
The senior from Plano East poured in 17 points.
The home team led by just five at the intermission, 38-to-33, but the Bearkats burned the Patriots 61-to-27 in the second half.
SHSU now travels to Lubbock to battles the Texas Tech Red Raiders Saturday at one p.m.
