HUNTSVILLE -- Ashton Mitchell scored 14 points and Ryan Bright added 13 points and pulled down 13 rebounds to lead Sam Houston State to a 94-45 victory over Texas A&M International Monday at Johnson Coliseum.

The 49-point victory margin was the third largest in Sam Houston State
history. The Bearkat defense created 32 turnovers by the Dust Devils.

Sam Houston State (1-1) hit 50.8 per cent from the floor, hitting 32 of 62
field goals. C. J. Hadley also had 13 points and Jeremy Thomas added 12. Chris Swan led TAMUI with 14 points.

The Bearkats never trailed, building a 56-23 lead at intermission.
