Bearkats Battle Louisiana College Tuesday Night

HUNTSVILLE -- The Sam Houston State men's basketball team will play the first of three games scheduled this week Tuesday nigth when the Bearkats play host to Louisiana College at 7 p.m. in Johnson Coliseum.
Sam Houston comes into the game 1-2 after an 86-67 loss to Oklahoma State Sunday in Stillwater. Following Tuesday's game, the Kats are back on the road competing in the South Padre Invitational on Padre Island Friday and Saturday. Sam Houston will play East Tennessee State Friday at 7 p.m. Southern University and Delaware State square off in the other bracket of the tournament with the finals on Saturday night.
Three Bearkats come into Tuesday's matchup averaging in double figures. Ryan Bright leads Sam Houston with 15.7 points and 8.3 rebounds. Jejuan Plair has posted 12.3 points and 6.3 assists per game. Aaron Wade is adding 11.7 points and 8.3 boards per contest.
Louisiana College is 0-1 following an 80-69 loss to McNeese State in the Wildcats' opener last week. Louisiana-College competes in the American Southwest Conference and produced an 8-17 record last year.
Sam Houston won its first home game on Nov. 13, defeating Texas A&M-International of Laredo 84-45.
