The Texas A&M football team has beaten Texas 12-to-7 in Austin.

It is the Aggies' first win over the Longhorns since 1999.

It is also the Ags' first win at DKR-Memorial Stadium since 1994, and Dennis Franchione's first win over the Horns as head coach at A&M.

Texas A&M is now 9-&-3 for the year.

The Oklahoma Sooners probably watched today's football game between Texas and Texas A-and-M with more than the usual interest.

No doubt O-U was pleased with the result, as Texas A-and-M upset
the 11th-ranked Longhorns 12-to-7 in Austin.

That means the Sooners are in position to clinch the Big 12
Conference South Division title tomorrow with a win at Oklahoma
State.

The South Division champion will play North Division champion
Nebraska for the Big 12 title.

Texas fell to 9-and-3 overall, including a 6-and-2 mark in Big
12 play.

A-and-M is 9-and-3 overall and 5-and-3 in the conference.

Texas was cruising toward the South title before losing to
Kansas State on November 11th.

Now the Longhorns are on a 2-game
losing streak.
