Frogs Have Opponent For Poinsettia Bowl
Reporter: Associated Press

DEKALB, Ill. -- Northern Illinois has accepted an invitation
to play T-C-U in the Poinsettia Bowl in San Diego on December 19th.
It's the second bowl in three years for the Huskies, who are
7-and-5 this season and feature the nation's leading rusher in
Garrett Wolfe.
N-I-U has seven straight winning seasons under coach Joe Novak
and clinched a winning record this year with a 27-nothing win over
Eastern Michigan last Friday in its regular-season finale.
Novak today said T-C-U will provide "a great challenge" for
the Huskies and that's what he looks for in a bowl game. The Horned
Frogs are 9-and-2 this season.
The Huskies will return to practice December Sixth.
