Updated: 03/05/2013 - Caldwell Superintendent confirmed this morning that Bobby Jack Goforth has been hired to become the next athletic director and head football coach at Caldwell High School.
Updated: 02/08/2013 - Last week KBTX Sports reported that Caldwell Head Football Coach Kenneth Gilchrist was leaving the Hornets field house after one season and returning to Whitney where he had coached for three seasons before coming to Caldwell, today KBTX Sports learned that Gilchrist told his coaches in Caldwell that he was leaving to return to Whitney.

According to Whitney ISD Superintendent Gene Solis, the Wildcats are going to welcome back Kenneth Gilchrist as their next head football coach after the Whitney School Board votes on the matter to make it official February 11th.

Navasota claiming the Class 3A Division II title with a win over Gilmer and Cameron the Class 2A Division I championship after beating Daingerfield.
