COLLEGE STATION -- The A&M Consolidated Tigers beat the Bryan Vikings 54-7 Friday night in a district 14-5A match-up at Kyle Field. The Tigers are now 2-1 in district play. The Vikings fall to 1-2 in district play.

The Tigers got the scoring started on a Brandon Jackson seven yard touchdown run. It was set up by a D.J. Jackson strip and fumble recovery. Jaylan Cheshire would add the lead with a seven yard touchdown run to make it 13-0.

Cheshire would get hurt in the second quarter when he threw a 30 yard touchdown pass to Josh Stewart. Cheshire was carted off the field with what appeared to be an ankle injury. He did not return to the game. Consol led 19-0 at the half.

The Tigers continued to roll in the second half. Eric Yates picks off a Chris Johnson pass and returned it for a touchdown to make it 33-0 Consol. A 67 yard Brandon Jackson touchdown run would push the Consol lead to 40-0.

Bryan's lone touchdown came in the fourth quarter on a Bobby Johnson 12 yard touchdown run. Consol closed out the scoring with a Weston Garner to Justin Miller 60 yard touchdown pass.

Tiger head coach David Raffiled did not seem surprised with the result. "I knew Bryan wasn't going to be able to play with us, we've watched the films. There was a big three in the district and we knew if we came out and took care of our business we would be fine."

Heading off the field after the game Viking head coach Ross Rogers said "We weren't ready to play, they did a great job."

Consol will return to action October 18 when they travel to Shenandoah to face College Park. Bryan will face Lufkin on October 19 at Merrill Green Stadium.
