Bellville beats Giddings in bi-district playoff game

COLLEGE STATION, TX -- The Bellville Brahmas beat the Giddings Buffaloes 28-18 Friday night at Tigerland Stadium in College Station in a Class 3A Division 2 bi-district playoff game.

Giddings scored the first points of the game on a Michael Rangel 44 yard field goal in the second quarter. Bellville's Cody Brown returned the ensuing kickoff 73 yards for a touchdown to give the Brahmas a 7-3 lead.

Bellville got another big play in the second quarter when Jamal Reese hit DeBrae Parker with a 77 yard touchdown pass to push the lead to 14 - 3.

The Buffaloes would cut the lead to three points in the second half but Bellville was able to pick up the win.
