Burton picks up road win in Somerville

Somerville -- The Burton Panthers beat the Somerville Yeguas 34-12 Friday night in Somerville.

The Panthers got a pair of touchdown runs from quarterback Xavier Bethany to jump out to a 14-0 lead. Bethany also threw a touchdown pass to Juwan Mathis to extend the Panther lead to 21-0.

Burton is now 2-0 on the season. Somerville falls to 1-1. Burton returns to action September 9 when they host Louise. Somerville will be back on their home field September 9 when they face Snook.
