College Station -- The A&M Consolidated football team beat Oak Ridge 28-7 Friday night at Tigerland Stadium. The victory clinched a playoff spot for the Tigers.
Xavier Jones scored the only touchdown on the first half on a one yard run in the second quarter. Jones would add another one yard touchdown run in the third quarter to give Consol a 14-0 lead.
Kobe Miller hooked up with Josch Motley for a 27 yard touchdown to give the Tigers a 21-0 lead after three quarters. Miller capped off the Consol scoring with a 19 yard touchdown pass to Daniel Hulse in the fourth quarter.
Consol will close out the regular season November 2 on the road against Conroe at Moorhead Stadium. The Tigers open week in November 9 when the high school football regular season wraps up.
