HEARNE, TX -- The Hearne Eagles (3-3,1-2) picked up their first District 11-2A Division II win Friday night with a 34-16 win over the Riesel Indians at beautiful Wood Field.

With a 13-0 2nd quarter lead Hearne quarterback Kyle Castilleja scores on a 17 yard touchdown run to extend the Eagles lead to 20-0.

After having a pair of TD passes to Shaquille Brown called back due to penalties, Castilleja finds Brown on a crossing route later in the second quarter that results in a 42 yard scoring strike to put the Eagles up 27 to nothing at the half.

Riesel will add a pair of touchdowns in the second half, but they won't be able to overcome the 27 point lead that Hearne built in the first half.

Clinton Smith and company will try to make it two in a row next Friday as they travel to Buffalo to take on the Bison. Kickoff is set for 7:30 in Buffalo.
