GIDDINGS, Texas -- No. 3 Hempstead dominated from the start and beat District 14-2A Division I foe Hallettsville for the second time this season.
The playoff match-up went to the Bobcats 34-0. Hempstead had beaten the Brahmas 35-13 in the regular season.
Archie Taylor scored on touchdown runs of 3, 14, and 13 yards and Hernan Sanchez booted a pair of field goals to give Hempstead a 27-0 halftime lead.
Texas A&M commit Trent Momon caught a touchdown pass in the second half to give the game its' final score.
The Bobcats out-gained the Brahmas 412 to 198 on the night.
Hempstead improves 12-0 and will face the winner of the Blanco-Lago Vista game in the state quarterfinals next week.
