BRYAN -- With a season of varsity experience under their belts the Blue Jays look to make big improvements on the field in 2011.
Ten players who started last season return and should be ready to get Snook into the win column. “We will be more experienced,” says Pearce. “Having played one year of varsity football we will know what game speed is like and be more experienced and ready.”
The Blue Jays have some size on the offensive line coming back to block for Joe Sebesta and Robert Lewis, who will battle it out for the job at quarterback.
The Snook defense gave up more than 40 points in every game last season and will have to improve for the Blue Jays to take the next step.
The Blue Jays once again play a tough schedule filled with teams who reached the postseason a year ago, and not having a home field to host games hurts Snook as well. Expect the Blue Jays to show plenty of improvement this season and be much more competitive in every game on the schedule.
