Iola drops district opener to Moody

IOLA, TX -- The Iola Bulldogs lost their District 12-1A Division 1 opener to Moody 16-14 Friday night.

The Bulldogs looked like they would take a second quarter lead when quarterback Bryan Bradford ran up the middle towards the end zone but Bradford was stripped and Moody recovered the ball. That kept the game scoreless. The Bearcats scored the first touchdown of the game on a 12 yard run by Mark Villegas.

Iola will return to action October 14 when they Travel to Thrall to face the Tigers.
