CALDWELL, Texas -- Kenneth Gilchrist has been named to the Head Football Coach and Athletic Director and Caldwell High School. He is replacing Chance Locklear who left Caldwell after one season to become an assistant coach at the new College Station High School.
Gilchrist spent the last three seasons as the head coach at Whitney High School. Before that he was the run game coordinator at Duncanville High School school in 2009 and 2009. Gilchrist was the offensive line coach at Lake Travis in 2007 and 2008.
He spent some time coaching in the Brazos Valley as well. Gilchrist was the defensive line coach and special teams coordinator at Cameron from 2004-2007. From 2002-2004 Gilchrist was the assistant head coach and offensive coordinator at Hempstead.
